Existing 360 offerings

Trapeze discovered very early on that whilst there are many 360 feedback tools available on the market today, very few are particularly focused and targeted towards the feedback needs of Leaders.

Many are orientated primarily towards the practice and tradition of management with only a hint of real leadership thrown in. This makes it hard to distil down what the true leader development message actually is.

In addition, the terminology used in many 360 products frequently adopts over-academic terminology which can be open to mis-interpretation and leave the leader confused.

The actual design of the end product can also leave much to be desired. Comparative norm groups, charts, graphs, lists, long winded text – they often all come together in the same Feedback Report to leave the leader muddled and grappling for the essence of what is really being said.

As a final point, we discovered that many of these tools burden leaders and the HR function with time consuming and tedious administration that discourages rather than attract use. What is needed is a tool that is simple and hassle-free with minimum upkeep and maximum reliability.

The Trapeze Response

Put simply, we started from the ground up, designed an on-line product that addresses all of the above concerns, tested it in the market and successfully launched Viewpoints 360 in early 2002.

This is a paper-free, feedback tool that leaders can use to receive high quality feedback from up to 15 trusted sources both within and outside the business.

Within a few days, a Leader can be working through a user-friendly Feedback Report, gathering new insights and committing to specific, high-return actions that can make a real difference quickly.

We designed Viewpoints so that our clients have a range of cost and service options at their disposal. From purely Report generation to face-to-face support in interpretation and action planning through to a detailed coaching programme or group development programme - we have a package to suit your circumstances and your budget.

Our Design Philosophy

The on-line questionnaire is wonderfully laid out and very easy to work through. It takes about 20 minutes to complete and guarantees confidentiality. Furthermore, it’s easy to manage – no paper, no postage, just a few clicks of the mouse and it’s done!

The Leader Feedback Report is again designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. It communicates the message across clearly and logically – giving the leader only what he or she needs to grasp the key points quickly and without ambiguity. It is in two parts:

Part 1 – Quantitative Feedback:
60 statements that gather leadership feedback against our 6 Point Leadership Pathway Framework – Presence, Foresight, Resilience, Perspective, Empathy and Order. Areas of strength and shortcoming are revealed quickly and with impact to trigger focused and specific insight and action.

Part 2 – Qualitative Feedback:
This is where participants can express their views in their own way, offering insight and supporting examples of leader excellence and leader development needs together with ideas for improvement. It acts as an ideal complement to the more structured format in Part 1.

Service Levels and Fee Structure

There are three ways to experience the benefits of Viewpoints:

Level 1 – Report only: where we do everything for you up to and including the production of the Leader Feedback Report for Leaders with the Client retaining responsibility for post-feedback support in terms of interpretation and actioning of findings.

Cost: £400 per leader.

Level 2 – Report plus telephone support: as above but with the added benefit of Trapeze involvement in the form of a one and a half to two hour phone conversation with the Leader, working through the key messages and insights and creating a Feedback Action Plan to turn the findings into early, practical action.
Cost: £650 per leader.

Level 3 – Report plus half day on site coaching: as for Level 1 but with the added benefit of a half day personal input from Trapeze to work through the findings, agree precise actions and provide specific coaching support.
Cost: £1,200 per leader.

Whichever option you choose you can be assured that you are getting exceptional value for money and a product and service that is something special.


 


Bespoke design service

We recognise that many organisations have invested time and money to create their own in-house Competency Statements, Leadership Behaviours and the like and would like this work reflected in any new 360 intervention such as Viewpoints.

No problem - for very little financial outlay, we can modify as much or as little of the content of Viewpoints so that it truly reflects and aligns with your existing approach and plans.
